The Dorset Maple Reserve is a pristine 500 acre sugar maple forest located in the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont in the small town of Dorset.
This magnificent wood produces the finest gourmet quality maple syrup.
Responsibility for the exquisite flavor of the Reserve's golden nectar is credited to the land's limestone based soils that deliver high calcium content water to the undisturbed maple forest. The flavor enhancing calcium softens taste and provides the discerning pallet with a remarkable maple treat that is unforgettable.
A delicious (and Vegan) alternative to honey, and a healthy flavor-enhancing replacement for sugar, Maple Syrup has such a variety of uses, from the obvious serving over pancakes, to drizzling on ice cream and desserts, as a baking ingredient, a cocktail ingredient and a general sweetener for just about anything you can think of.
Dorset Maple Reserve produces a traditional Grade A Rich Amber syrup in both 250ml and 500ml glass bottles as well as the unique flask shaped metal tin.
At the end of each season barrels are hand selected and set aside.
These barrels, filled with Rich Amber syrup, are then transferred into American Oak Barrels that have been previously used in the Bourbon aging process.
Over the course of time the flavours that have been tucked away to rest in the wood are released into the syrup giving off hints of caramel, vanilla, oak and most importantly Whiskey!
This unique Bourbon Barrel Aged Maple syrup compliments and pairs well with pancakes, French toast, coffee, ribs, wings, salmon and much, much more.
